Collection: Casa de Piedra

Casa de Piedra is one of the foundational estates of Baja California and a quiet force behind Mexico’s modern wine movement. Founded by Hugo D'Acosta—widely regarded as the godfather of Mexican wine—the winery embodies a philosophy of restraint, place, and independence.

Set in the heart of the Valle de Guadalupe, the vineyards sit on poor, stony soils that limit yields and intensify character. Warm days build ripeness, while cooling Pacific breezes and cold nights preserve freshness and balance. These natural contrasts define the wines: structured yet agile, expressive without excess.

Casa de Piedra is deliberately small-scale and hands-on, favouring native character over polish. D’Acosta’s influence reaches across Baja through the generations he has trained, but here the focus remains singular—wines that speak clearly of desert light, rocky ground, and the uncompromising landscape that shaped them.
